This reading today at Holy Spirit Church in Grand Rapids, in Haiti, and all around the world is so powerfully put into practice by all the volunteers in Port au Prince. During Mass I was thinking how ecumenical our group is working with the Baptists, Methodists, and Catholics, and so many other groups to bring the hope, faith, comfort, healing, and love of God. Thank you all! Paula
I had this very same thought this morning at Christ Memorial Reformed Church in Holland Michigan! Some of my friends are also in Haiti with many other people who love God and worship in many different denominations! We sang the song He Reigns by the Newsboys:
It’s the song of the redeemed
Rising from the African plain
It’s the song of the forgiven
Drowning out the Amazon rain
The song of Asian believers
Filled with God’s holy fire
It’s every tribe, every tongue, every nation
A love song born of a grateful choir
It’s all God’s children singing
Glory, glory, hallelujah
He reigns, He reigns
I had tears in my eyes…how true this is and how beautiful it must be to God to hear His children all over the world praising His name. We are so Blessed!! May God continue to send Blessing to the hurting people in Haiti and also the people who are there serving and showing God’s Love first hand.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts this morning Paula! ~DeLynn
